As AI capabilities increase I've noticed myself wanting more and more privacy. This feels particularly at-odds with the way the AI companies are going. AI training on your data by default, AI that remembers all of your conversations, AI inside your browser. What I want is AI as electricity. We've all made this collective trade-off to connect to the AI-grid for stable metered intelligence, but I want control over how and where that intelligence is applied. I want to control the context, I want to control the runtime, I want the electricity to come into my house (until I can go "off-grid" for the things that matter to me most). I don't want to go to the magic place that has electricity, I want electricity hooked up to my house. APIs (with opt-in training) are a fine product. Thank you for delivering me intelligence on clear terms. My home lab has neither the capability nor the cost efficiency to compete (yet!). I'll pay you for compute... but seriously - hands off my data - ESPECIALLY given your capabilities.
